Inoltre, come tutte le nuove produzioni della Rough Guide anche questa compilation è arricchita da un cd monografico. In questa occasione il cd è “Ships In The Forest” di Karan Casey. Karan Casey è stato a lungo uno dei più innovativi e provocatori della musica tradizionale irlandese. La sua carriera ha attraversato più di venti anni, dalle prime esperienze come musicista jazz a Dublino passando per gli inebriante giorni a New York con la band Solas fino alla sua attuale carriera da solista. Ha ampiamente tour in Nord America e in Europa ed è stato nominato per la BBC Folk Awards, il Grammy Danese ed è stato uno membro chiave del Celtic Solstice di Paul Winter. Prodotto da Donald Shaw, “Ships In The Forest” è il suo quinto album solista e si concentra in gran parte sul repertorio tradizionale.
